Plant control at a maquiladora

Maquiladora software: ERP, shop floor, workforce and more

The maquiladora lives between corporate ERP, a shop floor that reports on paper and a dozen systems that don't talk to each other. We build and integrate the software that closes those gaps — custom, or with our MaquilaCore product, piloted in Ciudad Juárez.

Employee transportation is solved with ViaCore and the customs front with AduCore: three cores from the same house, on the same standard.

What a plant needs to solve

Six fronts every maquiladora knows — and almost none has connected.

1
Production & shop-floor control

Orders, consumption, scrap and downtime captured live — a real-time dashboard for management and TV mode for the floor.

2
ERP & SAP/MES integration

Your corporate office has SAP; your plant has Excel. We connect both worlds without touching the ERP: IDocs, OData, OPC UA, read-only.

3
Workforce & attendance

Clock-ins, shift coverage with volunteers, rule-based overtime and an absenteeism board — integrated with your payroll (TRESS or other).

4
Employee transportation

GPS routes, boarding as pre-attendance and reconciliation against what the carrier invoices — solved with ViaCore.

5
Customs & foreign trade

Annex 24 synchronization, digital files and inventory traceability — one more front of the operation, solved on the same core.

6
Reports & data

OEE, per-line and per-shift indicators, and corporate reports that generate themselves — no more Friday spreadsheet marathons.

Custom or product? Both

Our MaquilaCore product ships with the modules every plant needs (dashboard, workforce, shop floor, kardex) and is implemented module by module; custom development covers what's unique to your operation. Most operations combine both.

Frequently asked questions

What every maquiladora asks.

If your corporate office already has an ERP, you almost certainly don't need another one: you need to connect it to the shop floor and local systems. If you're an independent operation, we evaluate together between a commercial ERP, MaquilaCore modules, or a combination — by size, budget and processes.

We already have SAP at corporate — what's missing at the plant?

The usual: real-time shop-floor capture, attendance and shift control, a reliable inventory kardex, and the bridges between all of them. SAP isn't touched — it gets fed clean data instead of re-entries.

Yes. We synchronize inventories and discharges with the Annex 24 system and the broker's dispatch, so foreign trade stops chasing papers over email. AduCore takes that front even further.

Module by module: the first useful pieces (shop-floor dashboard, attendance) ship in weeks. The initial 3–4 week diagnostic sets the order based on where it hurts most.

Border Valley builds and automates the systems that run a company: platforms for manufacturing, transportation and customs operations, custom software, dedicated engineering teams and applied AI.
